Here's what the critics are saying about Count Me In:

"Thank you for an AMAZING night last night. I was totally blown away. It was absolutely fantastic."

Anna Ferguson, Activities and Volunteer Co-ordinator, St John's Hospital, Bath

"Count Me In is a tour de force that involves the audience instantly - it grabbed our attention and drew us in to the lives of the characters, compered by the hugely talented Glenn, whose performance never once flagged. It was unexpectedly moving at times, funny, and dexterous. I found the poems by the local people v moving too, and incorporated well into the show. A large group of foreign students who attended - from Spain, Romania, and other parts of Europe - also really enjoyed Count Me In. It was an intriguing concept, sparking discussion afterwards about the stories (and the statistics) told in such a poignant and witty way. Great stuff - v innovative and entertaining - thank you Glenn and team."

Kate Saunders, Cheltenham Poetry Festival.

"Count Me In - is a spoken word show in which the significance of numbers in our daily lives are explored by a number of characters in bingo hall. In the end you had to conclude that none of the characters were particularly fortunate as the increasingly hollow sounding refrain of "be lucky!" repeatedly rang out or may be more appropriately ran out. But it was a beautiful and moving show with strong and daring performances from Glenn Carmichael, Lucy English and Sara-Jane Arbury. Glenn, Lucy and Sara-Jane had also worked with three members of The Growing Creatives a local arts group from Windmill Hill who each wrote and performed a dramatic monlogue that fitted into the show seamlessly and each of which were wry, powerful and affecting."

Maureen and Judi hope it will be. Every week, they place their trust in Don, the glamorous Bingo Master, to make their dreams come true. But behind the magic numbers lie the real stories of their lives.

Maureen. 55, married with four grown-up children. A home-bird who dreads the day she’ll be left alone.

Judi. Librarian. Works 37.5 hours a week, eats 5-a-day and has systems in place. But is she losing control?

Don. Twenty years calling the numbers to change people’s lives. Drink, drugs, divorce. The 12 Step Programme isn’t working.

Eyes down for a full house…

Count Me In is an immersive spoken word theatre show about the numbers in our lives.

The show takes place during one night in the Bingo Hall. We all play the game and as the numbers are called, Don, Maureen and Judi reveal their true selves – their memories, anniversaries, regrets, mistakes, joys, hopes and dreams.

But Count Me In is a show with a difference. It is about numbers and YOU.

We want to hear about the important numbers in your life. We will run creative writing workshops before the show to gather poems and stories about your relationship and connection with numbers. What are the special dates you remember? Do you live your life by the clock? How do you count the cost of living?

The words you write will be part of the show. No two performances will ever be the same.

Can we count you in?
